LONDON, England-The Terrier women's crew began what it hopes will lead to the Henley Royal Regatta as they competed in the Reading Regatta on Saturday and Sunday, June 12-13.

This is considered the warm-up to the Henley Women's Regatta, which is scheduled this coming weekend.. Hopefully, from there, the Terriers will qualify for the Henley Royal Regatta, which will be rowed July 1-4, on the Thames River.

"The Reading Regatta is fun competition," said Terrier head coach Holly Hatton. "We have 20 athletes here, and we pretty much let them chose their lineup for the two days of rowing at the Reading Regatta."

In Saturday's rowing, the crew of Taylor York, Anna Sleator, Tess Miller, Megan Keyes, and Emily Brown won the Senior Coxed Four. Then, on Sunday, Yael Erlitz, Rachel Heckl, Diana Bennett, Kate Larson, and Kara Eiber, all of whom graduated last month, also won the Senior Coxed Four

"Our efforts this week will focus on training in eights in preparation for this weekend's Henley Women's Regatta," said Hatton.
