Three Terriers in Claire McNicholas, Kayla O'Rourke and Lesley Pepin were also named to the 2009 scholar-athlete squad. Daley sat in the fifth spot on the varsity eight boat and helped BU capture the Kittel Cup against Syracuse and reach the Petite Final during the Eastern Sprints. McNicholas (Jr., communications), Pepin (Soph., biochemistry and molecular biology) and O'Rourke (Sr., speech, language and hearing science) all rowed on the second varsity eight boat, helping the Terriers finish second at the Beanpot in their respective race and also place sixth at the Eastern Sprints.
