Providence, R.I. - No. 1 Brown earned the Arlene Gorton Cup by securing first place in all five races over the Boston University women's crew team on Friday, April 13.

The two crews battled a strong cross tailwind and sustained wins gusting from 20 to 30 miles per hour. The first novice and JV boats faced an incoming tide with a light to moderate chop.

The Terriers return to action on Saturday afternoon in the inaugural Charles River Challenge, facing boats from USC, Columbia, and UMass.
