After averaging 16.0 points per game last week, sophomore Clodagh Scannell of the Boston University women's basketball team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

The Cork, Ireland native scored 15 points with a 6-for-7 shooting performance in the Terriers' 81-64 loss at Colgate last Wednesday while tying for the team lead with four assists. On Sunday at Loyola, the sophomore made her first career start and posted a personal-best 17 points, including five made 3-pointers, to lead BU to a 70-60 victory. She also added three assists and three steals against the Greyhounds.

Since Patriot League play began, Scannell is second on the team with 10.8 points per game and is shooting 45.9 percent from beyond the arc. The guard has appeared in all 19 games for the Terriers this season.
