PHILADELPHIA - Despite a tough first day for Boston University at the CAA Championships, senior Zach Johns is one win away from qualifying for nationals for the first time in his career after a quarterfinal victory at 165 pounds. The two-day tournament, hosted by Drexel, wraps up on Saturday.

The Terriers went a combined 5-8 on the day, but won just one of their seven quarterfinal bouts. The good news for the Terriers is that all nine wrestlers are still alive in their respective brackets.

Johns will face top-seeded Chris Vondruska of Hostra in Saturday's 165-pound semifinal. Earlier this season when the teams faced off in a dual, Vondruska posted a 5-2 victory over Johns.
