WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Boston University wrestling team dropped a pair of duals on Sunday at Gillis Field House. After a 22-14 loss to American, the Terriers were edged, 22-18, by Army. BU moves to an even 7-7 on the year.

Redshirt junior Nestor Taffur (157) and junior Kevin Innis (285) each picked up two wins on the day while four other Terriers earned one win each.

American never trailed, jumping out to a 7-0 lead before sophomore Tyler Scotton picked up a hard-fought 3-2 decision at 141 over John Boyle to get the Terriers on the board.

Taffur earned a 4-1 triumph over Mark Cirello before the Eagles reeled off three straight wins at 165, 174 and 184 to take a commanding 22-9 lead.

Redshirt sophomore Alex Najjar recorded a 17-2 tech fall against Devon Bradley at 184 before Innis closed the match with a 7-4 decision versus Blake Herrin.

BU held a 15-6 lead halfway through its dual with the Black Knights, but the home team responded with four straight victories before holding on for the win.

Junior Bubba McGinley (125) and freshman Dane Harlowe (133) started off with six points each, beginning with an injury default in favor of McGinley against Hunter Wood. Harlowe followed with a pin against Jordan Thome in the final minute of the third period.

After back-to-back narrow wins by Army, Taffur picked up his second win of the day with an 8-2 victory over Patrick Marchetti.

The Black Knights rolled through the second half of the lineup, including a pin at 197 to seal the victory with a 22-15 advantage. Innis closed the match with a 4-3 victory over Collin Wittmayer.
