AS A JUNIOR IN 2008-09
Finished the year 12-14 with two falls and three major decisions... Was 6-6 in duals, getting falls against Jocob Villarett (Wagner) and Martin Mitchell (AIC), and 6-8 in tournaments... Appeared in the Binghamton Open, Keystone Classic and Nittany Lion Open.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007-08
Posted an overall record of 11-16 (7-13 at 133, 4-3 at 141)... Went 5-10 in dual competition and 6-6 in tournaments... Earned wins over Eli Harris (Brown) and Tyler Anthony (VMI) at Keystone Classic... Won three of five matches at Nittany Lion Open... Posted a 6-3 dual win over Rutgers' Dan Hilt... Went 1-2 at the CAA Championships, earning a 4-3 win over Binghamton's Mike Kleenan... Recorded three falls on the year.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006-07
Became the Terriers' primary 125-pounder, posting an impressive 25-14 record as a rookie... Ranked third on team in wins... Went 14-8 in tournaments and 11-6 in duals... Posted a team-high four falls to go along with two tech falls and three major decisions... Won his first five collegiate matches, including all four at the TCNJ Tournament to claim the title... Went 2-2 at Keystone Classic, 3-2 at Penn State Open and 2-2 at Wilkes Open... Opened February with six straight duals wins, posting two falls, a tech fall and a major decision during the stretch... Earned three wins at CAA Championships, opening with a fall vs. Joe Cipriano (Wagner) and posting a 13-6 victory against Rich Apolinar (Campbell) and an 8-7 decision over Marshall Sweet (James Madison).

Rush had a career prep record of 172-15 at Wheeling Park High School... Four-time Ohio Valley Conference champion, just the sixth athlete in 53 years to accomplish the feat... First-ever four-time AAA Region I champion... Finished third in state championships as both a freshman and sophomore and second as both a junior and senior... Named All-American after sixth-place finish in senior nationals... Ranked 13th in the nation by WIN magazine... Team captain of WPHS unbeaten state title team (24-0)... Won the Danny Burke Scholarship, awarded for excellence in wrestling, community service and leadership.
