Finished the season 5-7 with one fall and one major decision... Started the season off with two wins at the Brute-Binghamton Open with wins against John Motley (Harvard) and Justin Giani (Drexel)... Lost three straight before earning an 18-5 major decision against Zachary Crain (Binghamton) for his first dual win of the season... Recorded his first collegiate fall at CAA Championships against Denny Herndon (George Mason) before getting pinned in each of his last two matches.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007-08
Was winless in four matches... Competed at the Nittany Lion Open and Southern Scuffle at 141... Appeared in one dual, suffering a fall at 149 against Springfield's Chris DeBlock.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006-07
Went 3-5 in his first season with the Terriers... Posted a 3-4 record in early-season tournaments... Won in his collegiate debut at the TCNJ Tournament with an 8-6 win over Ray Sarinelli... Went 2-2 at the Keystone Classic, including wins over Jerome Greco (Columbia) and Eli Harris (Brown)... Also competed at the Penn State Open... Made one dual appearance, dropping a 10-3 decision against Will Powars (George Mason) at the CAA Duals.

BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY
Buff posted a career record of 155-3 at Calvert High School... Went 43-0 and won state title as a senior after going 40-0 and winning the state title as a junior... 40-1 as a sophomore and finished third in state and 32-2 as a freshman, also finishing third in state... Four-time regional champion... Four-time Southern Maryland Athletic Conference champion, becoming just the third athlete ever to accomplish the feat... Third on Maryland's all-time public school win list... Outstanding Wrestler of Senior Maryland All-Star Classic... Captain of the Maryland All-Academic team... Maryland freestyle and Greco state champion... Ranked third of 215 in his class academically... AP scholar with honors... Class President.
