BOSTON - Junior Katie Matthews and freshman Rich Peters of the Boston University track & field teams will compete at NCAA indoor track & field championships on Friday (March 11) and Saturday (March 12) at Texas A&M's Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium.

Peters will compete in the preliminaries of the mile run on Friday at approximately 4:15 p.m. If the Bristol, England, native advances to the finals, he will race on Saturday at 5:10 p.m. Peters qualified for the NCAA championships at the Valentine Invitational, where he broke a school record with a time of 3:58.26.

A Rocky Hill, Conn., native, Matthews will run in the 5,000m finals on Friday at 7:05 p.m. She qualified for the finals at the America East championships with a time of 16:06.38.
