Peters Sets School Record in Mile at David Hemery Valentine Invitational

Senior Rich Peters broke his own school record in the mile with a time of 3:57.27

Proctor still holds one season of eligibility in both indoor and outdoor track and field.

AS A SENIOR IN 2007-08

Won the 800m at the America East Outdoor Championship (1:51.79) ... Qualified for IC4A Championship and NCAA East Regional in the 1,500m after running a 3:45.18 at the Mt. SAC Relays ... Won the 800m at the Spec Towns Invitational with a season-best 1:51.75 ... Red-shirted indoor campaign, although running two races unattached - a mile in 4:01 and a 3k in 8:07.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2006-07

Set school and facility record with 3:59.14 mile, becoming the first Terrier to break four minutes ... At America East Indoor Championship, won the 800m with a 1:49.58 time to set a personal best, also completing the mile in 4:06.34, and was part of the winning 4x800-meter relay team (7:45.46) and the distance-medley team (9:54.59) ... Proctor was named AE Track Performer of the Year for his efforts ... Set another school record as part of the distance-medley team that finished in 9:43.21 at the Alex Wilson Invitational ... During the outdoor season, ran the 1,500m in 3:43.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2005-06

Tied a school record in the 1,000m with a 2:22.46 time ... Placed second in the 1,000m at the IC4A Championship.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2004-05

Ran 800m in 1:50.54 ... At the America East Indoor Championship, claimed second place in the 800m (1:51.87) ... A week later, placed second in the 800m at the New England Championship, crossing in 1:51.80 ... Finished fourth in the 800m at the IC4A Championship (1:52.65) ... During the outdoor season, ran a 1:52.22 800m at Duke opener and placed first in the 800m at the America East Outdoor Championship, crossing with a 1:53.31 time in high winds ... Was also on the first-place 4x800 relay team (7:37.99) that broke a league record.

BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Attended Hulme Grammar School Sixth Form ... Personal best of 1:52.13 in high school ... Repeated his third-place performance in 2003 and was also an 800m finalist at National Indoor meet ... Claimed National Indoor 800m championship as a senior, and during the outdoor season finished third in 800m and 4x100 at Nationals ... While at Hulme, won three league titles in his three years there ... Also participated in soccer, swimming, rugby, field hockey and cross country.
