Boston College downs Terriers, 3-4
BOSTON -- The Boston University men's tennis team was defeated by the Boston College Eagles, 4-3 on Saturday, April 17 in the Terriers' final home match of the season. Saturday's loss ended the Terriers' two-game match winning streak. Boston University's Ian Carrera (Goleta, CA) and Ben Sturner (Millersville, MD)) won the Terriers' only singles matches in straight sets at the number three and six positions. Greg Toon (McGuire A.F.B., NJ) and Chris Ransom (East Brunswick, NJ) won at number two doubles, 8-5; and Josh Holbrook (New Haven, CT) and Sturner won at number three doubles, 8-6. B.U.'s number one doubles duo of Justin Schmidt (LaJolla, CA)) and Carrera lost their match, 8-6. Boston University falls to 4-9 with the loss.
