Season Results
Stamford, Conn. - The Boston University men's tennis team (7-8) snapped a five-match losing streak with a 5-2 victory over Fairfield University on Thursday, March 22.
The Terriers started the day by winning two of three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. Senior Barrett Wolf (Boca Raton, Fla.) and junior Giulio Gallarotti (Higganum, Conn.) defeated Jonathon Fernando and Ryan Berthod 8-6 at the No. 1 spot, and senior Ross Lohr (Newton, Mass.) and sophomore Charles Weinstein (New Rochelle, N.Y.) handed Zack Morrison and Chip Palumbo an 8-4 defeat in the third slot.
BU took four of five singles wins in straight sets. Wolf was a double-winner, taking down Fernando at No. 1 singles. Gallarotti had success against Morrison in the third singles position, winning 6-0, 7-6 (4-0). Freshman Jeff Chudacoff (Highland Park, Ill.) defeated Balazs Szikla 6-3, 6-2 in the fifth slot for the Terriers' final win of the day.
BU returns to action on Wednesday, March 28 hosting Holy Cross at 4 p.m.
