Sophomore Geoff Wagner (Bloomfield Hills, MI) came from behind to defeat Dave Noonan at first singles 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, to help lead the Boston University men's tennis team to its first win of the spring, 4-3 over Quinnipiac University on Saturday, March 23.
After dropping the three doubles matches, the Terriers took four-of-six singles matches to earn the victory. The match came down to the number one singles, and after Wagner dropped the first set, the sophomore stormed back to take the next two.
Sophomore Adam Siegel (Sudbury, MA) and senior Josh Holbrook (New Haven, CT) each swept at third and sixth singles, respectively, while junior Noel Moossa (Rancho Santa Fe, CA) defeated Fabian Villacos at fifth singles, 6-4, 7-6 (3).
"I had six players out there that gave me all they had, I didn't care what the results were," said head coach Jeremy Taylor.
