BOSTON - The Boston University men's tennis team closed its fall season on Saturday by shutting out the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, 7-0, at the Track and Tennis Center on Saturday, Oct. 20.

BU began the day with dominating performances in singles play. In third singles, senior Giulio Gallarotti (Higganum, Conn.) set the tone early, winning, 6-0, 6-0. In the fifth and sixth positions, seniors Daniel Frid (Dallas, Texas) and Hans Sapra (Alpharetta, Ga.) also shut out their opponents, 6-0, 6-0. Junior Tim Sichler's (Los Lunas, N.M.) 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles was followed convincing wins by first singles player, junior Charles Weinstein (New Rochelle, N.Y.), and second singles player, sophomore Jeff Chudacoff (Highland Park, Ill.).

The Terriers finished their fall season with a 2-1 record in dual matches. Their spring season begins on Feb. 4, 2008, at the Track and Tennis Center against the University of Rhode Island at 3 p.m.
