Men's Tennis Advances to AE Semifinals with 4-0 Victory over Hartford

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Boston University men's tennis team swept Hartford, 4-0, on Friday afternoon at the Yale Tennis Center to advance to the semifinals of the America East Championship. With the win, the Terriers will next face No. 1 seed Stony Brook on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The victory marked the second consecutive season that the Terriers advanced to the semifinals by knocking off the Hawks. BU captured the doubles point with a default and a victory at No. 1 by Jeff Chudacoff and Charles Weinstein.

In singles, the Terriers immediately earned a point with a default at No. 6 and then captured the next two points with the help of Tim Sichler and James Bernstein at No. 4 and 5, respectively.

The winner of Saturday morning's contest will advance to the title match on Sunday at 11 a.m., while the loser will compete in the consolation match against either UMBC or Binghamton at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
