BOSTON - For the second consecutive time and third overall, Boston University's Brian Lawler has earned America East's Diver of the Week accolades, after winning both boards versus Boston College on Jan. 23. The conference announced the award on Tuesday.

Lawler earns diver of the week honors following another strong performance versus Boston College, where he won the 3-meter by over 70 points, earning a score of 343.43, and completing the sweep by winning the 1-meter with 308.93.

Lawler has won all but one event this year and holds numerous BU school marks. He established the school record in the one-meter (12 dives) with 580.35 points, along with the 3-meter at 6 and 12 dives, respectively. Last season, he won the America East Championship at three-meters with a score of 538.55.

BU is set to host the 2007 America East Swimming and Diving Championships from Feb. 8-11 at BU's Competition Pool in the Fitness and Recreation Center.
