Women's Swimming and Diving Defeats UVM, Binghamton; Men Defeat Binghamton

Vestal, N.Y. - The Boston University women's swimming and diving defeated Binghamton, 138-99, and Vermont, 164-78, while the men's team downed the Bearcats, 135-106, on Saturday afternoon in Vestal, N.Y.

The women's team remained undefeated in head-to-head action, while the men improved to 2-1.

The men opened the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay as Bryon Kallert led off, followed by Kyle Ernst, Matt Rickett and Jackson Hill. Tyson Slesnick continued with the winning ways a victory in the 1000 free in a time of 9:53.09, while teammates Ben Kaiser and Wyatt Collins finished right behind in 10:03.29 and 10:13.30, respectively.

Kallert kept the momentum in BU's favor, as he touched the wall first in the 200 free with a time of 1:43.93 and later won his second race in the 200 back (1:54.56). Jackson Hill won the 50 free in 21.72, while Daniel Kempf picked up a first-place finish in the 100 free (47.97).

Ernst, Collins and Riley Kammer swept the 500 free with times of 4:51.97, 4:57.39 and 5:00.46. Late in the meet Slesnick led a 1-2 finish in the 200 breaststroke. He touched in 2:11.49 and was followed by Peter Lo (2:13.03).

BU will now turn its focus to Colgate on Nov. 8 at Competition Pool.
