The Boston University men's swimming and diving team fell to UMBC, 178-115, on Saturday afternoon in Baltimore, Md.
The Terriers earned wins six events, including four individual races.
The men opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay with a winning time of 1:35.16. Bryon Kallert led off, followed by Kyle Ernst, Matt Rickett and Daniel Kempf.
On an individual level, Ernst had the most success, claiming first place in three races. First in the 100 breaststroke, he touched in 58.50, 1.5 second ahead of his nearest competitor. His second victory came in the 200 breast, as he finished in 2:09.10.
In the 200 IM, Ernst led off a 1-2-3 finish with a time of 1:59.16, followed by Nik Astashinsky (1:59.38), and Wesley Pate (2:01.95).
Kempf also won an event for the Terriers on Saturday afternoon, as he claimed victory in the 50 free, clocking in at 21.63 in the 50 free.
The 400-yard free relay team closed out the meet with a first-place finish with a time of 3:13.36. Kempf, Jackson Hill, Rickett and Kallert swam for the Terriers.
Before hosting the Terrier Invitational from Nov. 19-21, BU will continue with its road stretch with three more meets: Colgate (Nov. 7), Stony Brook (Nov. 12) and Fordam (Nov. 13).
