Led by second-year head coach Joe Jones, the Boston University men’s basketball team enters the 2012-13 season seeking its third postseason berth in the last four years. The Terriers return three starters, including Preseason All-Conference honoree D.J. Irving who led the league last season in assists at 5.4 apg.
Led by ninth-year head coach Kelly Greenberg, the Boston University women’s basketball team returns 10 letterwinners, including three starters from last year’s 23-9 squad that advanced to the first round of the WNIT. The Terriers will host a combined six non-conference opponents in November and December.
Led by senior captain Wade Megan, the Boston University men’s ice hockey team will play 18 contests at home this season, starting off with an exhibition game against the University of Toronto on Sunday, Oct. 7. Click here to purchase season tickets.
This past summer, Boston University formally accepted an invitation to move 20 of its 25 teams to the Patriot League on July 1, 2013 for the 2013-14 season. Formed as an all-sport conference in 1990-91, the league features American, Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy .

The Terriers sweep the conference title for the first time since 1994
AS A SENIOR IN 2011-12: Became first male in America East to swim sub-20 second 50 freestyle when he won the event with time of 19.98 ...Also won the 100 freestyle (44.52) and 100 butterfly (49.10)... Member of winning 200 freestyle, 400 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams at the America East Championships.
AS A JUNIOR IN 2010-11: Named a honorable mention to the Mid-Major All-American team ... Competed in seven events in the 2011 AE Championships, winning six of them ... Set a pool record, meet record and AE Conference Record as a member of both the 200 medley relay team (1:28.91) and the 400 medley relay team (3:15.66) ... Set a pool record as a member of the 200 freestyle relay team (1:20.92) and individually in the 100 butterfly (46.71).
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009-10: Was a part of four winning relay teams at the AE Championships: the 200-medley relay (1:29.52), the 400-medley relay (3:17.91), the 200-free relay (1:21.12), and the 400-free relay (2:59.89) ... Individually, won the 100 free (45.05) and placed third in the 100 fly with a personal-best time of 49.46.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008-09:Swam in six events during the 2009 America East Swimming and Diving Championships ... Broke three BU school records in the 200 freestyle relay (1:20.14), 400 freestyle relay (2:57.72) and 800 freestyle relay (6:40.03) ... Placed third in the 100 butterfly (49.46) and 50 freestyle (20.70) each setting personal records.
BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY: A five-time All-America and six-time all-state selection ... As a senior was state champion in the 50 free as well as a member of the winning 200- and 400-free relay teams, while placing third in the 100 fly ... As a junior, qualified for the USA swimming junior nationals and was an individual state medalist in the 100 fly (3rd) and 50 free (3rd) ...
