CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Junior Shaun Taylor has been nominated for the 2008 America East Men's Soccer Fan's Choice Player of the Year award, as announced by the conference office this week. Voting for the honor will go until Monday, Nov. 10, at noon, with the winner being announced on Tuesday (Nov. 11) at AmericaEast.com.

The forward Taylor has been the offensive leader for the Terriers, as four of his nine goals scored this season proved to be game-winners. His most impressive performance occurred at Nickerson Field on Sept. 20, when he recorded his first-career hat trick against the defending Patriot League champion Colgate Raiders. The Sandown, England, native is currently tied for second in goals in the league and third in points with 20.

Riding a seven-game unbeaten streak, the conference regular season champion Terriers are 9-5-3 overall and 6-1-1 in the league. BU will host its 2008 America East Men's Soccer Championship semifinal game on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Nickerson Field against the winner of this Saturday's Vermont/Hartford contest. The game is set for 7 p.m.
