BOSTON - The Boston University men's soccer team will celebrate Senior Night on Wednesday (Oct. 26) when the Terriers welcome New Hampshire to Nickerson Field for a 7 p.m. tilt.
Four seniors - Ben Berube, Colin Henry, Stephen Knox and Peter Mehlert - will be recognized for their contributions to the program over their four years at BU.
Wednesday's contest also marks Military Appreciation Night. There will be free admission for all military personnel and a presentation of the Colors by the BU ROTC.
The Terriers (8-7-0, 4-1-0 AE) have won three of their last four games, including a 2-1 win at Albany this past Saturday. The win moved BU into a tie with UMBC for first place in the America East, as each team sits at 4-1-0 in the conference. Meanwhile, New Hampshire (6-7-2, 1-2-2 AE) is in fifth place.
Freshman Dominique Badji, the America East Rookie of the Week, leads the Terriers with four goals and 10 points. Knox is second in scoring with four goals and one assist for nine points. Both players along with Berube were instrumental in the victory over Albany, as Knox assisted on the first goal by Berube before Badji clinched the victory with a 67th minute strike on Berube's assist.
Rookie
Nick Thomson has been solid in goal for BU, as he leads the conference with a 0.78 goals-against average. He has allowed just two goals in the last four games.
