After serving as a co-captain for the Boston University men's soccer team and earning CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-America honors, graduate student Ben Havey has been named the team's most valuable player.

A midfielder, Havey helped lead the Terriers to their 10th America East regular season title on both the offensive and defensive side of the field. A Second Team All-Conference honoree, he finished third on the team in points (15) off five goals and five assists. He also helped BU record eight shutouts on the season and allow just three goals in league play.

Earning his master's in administrative studies with a financial economics concentration, Havey became the ninth Terrier to earn Academic All-America accolades. One of his top performances on the season occurred at UMBC, where he tallied the game-winning goal and then assisted on the second score for the 2-0 victory on the Fox Soccer Channel.
