There are high hopes for the 2011-12 Terriers after they reached the Women’s Frozen Four championship game in just their sixth year as a varsity program. The team earned a program-best 27 victories in the 2010-11 campaign and returns four Hockey East All-Stars to this year’s roster.

Basketball Schedules

Ronan, Ruikka Named to Hockey East All-Academic Team

BOSTON - Freshman Matt Ronan and redshirt sophomore Ryan Ruikka have been named to the 2010-11 Hockey East All-Academic Team, the league announced on Wednesday. Student-athletes need to earn a 3.0 grade-point average or better in each of the two semesters over the course of the season to qualify for the honor. Ruikka earned the honor for the third straight season, posting an impressive cumulative 3.78 GPA this year. After missing two seasons due to injury, Ruikka was a key member of the team's defensive corps this season, playing in 34 games and tallying seven points (3g, 4a).
Ronan appeared in just one contest as a freshman (Ice Breaker Championship vs. Notre Dame) and earned a 3.12 GPA for the year.
