WAKEFIELD, Mass. - After leading the Boston University men's ice hockey team to an overtime victory against Rensslaer, sophomore Cason Hohmann has been named the Hockey East Athletic Republic Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

With the Terriers trailing, 2-1, early in the third against the Engineers, Hohmann assisted on junior Sahir Gill's game-tying goal before providing the game-winner 2:56 into overtime to push the Terriers to the come-from-behind victory. He finished the game with four shots on goal and a plus-2 rating.

Hohmann currently leads BU in points (18) and assists (13). His plus-17 rating is tied for first in the country. This is the first weekly Hockey East honor of Hohmann's career and he is the third Terrier to be named Player of the Week this season, joining sophomore Evan Rodrigues and freshman Matt O'Connor.
