BOSTON - The Boston University varsity men's crew team competed against Syracuse in its 1999 season opener on the famous Charles River on Saturday, March 27.

In the first varsity race, Syracuse prevailed, while B.U. took the second varsity race. In the freshman races, Harvard also competed, while both competitions.
