BOSTON - College basketball season is here, and The Roof will be the location for the annual TERRIER TIP-OFF event. Formerly called Midnight Madness, the festivities get under way at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24. The event is free to BU students, alumni, faculty and staff. TERRIER TIP-OFF also will be streamed live online for free through BU-All Access at GoTerriers.com, with audio provided by WTBU.

Both the men's and women's basketball teams will be under the spotlight as they showcase their talents through exciting shooting contests as well as the infamous dunk contest where returning champion John Holland is set to throw down again.

Those performing on-site include the BU Band, Dance Team, Cheering Squad and the Drum Line. DJ Case and Lil' Phunk also will add to the ambiance. Don't miss your first look at both Terrier basketball teams, a chance to win jetBlue Airline tickets, free giveaways and more. A limited number of free t-shirts will be available, and everyone in attendance will receive a chance to redeem a free meal later that same evening at Qdoba's Kenmore Square location.

This event will also be a bonus Terrier Rewards event that is worth 15 points. Students must bring their BU ID to be rewarded points.

TERRIER TIP-OFF is open to all BU students, alumni, staff and faculty. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and capacity is limited, so fans are encouraged to arrive early. Don't be left outside when the lights go out!
