BOSTON - The four local men's Division I college basketball coaches will host a panel discussion at the Coaches vs. Cancer Tip-Off Breakfast, from 7:30-9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the State Street Pavilion at Fenway Park.

Boston University's Joe Jones, Harvard University's Tommy Amaker, Northeastern University's Bill Coen, Boston College's Steve Donahue and ESPN college basketball analyst Seth Greenberg will join guests in an interactive forum that will offer previews of the upcoming season and touch upon other topics related to college basketball in Boston and across the nation.

"I am so excited to be a part of such a special cause," said Jones. "So many of us have been affected in some way by this disease and this cause will play a part in helping find a cure."

Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit Coaches vs. Cancer, a nation-wide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

The program leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of basketball coaches nation-wide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs.

Among the invited guests will be inspirational high school basketball coaches from across New England who last season guided their respective teams to successful Coaches vs. Cancer fundraising endeavors.

Governor's Academy boys' basketball coach Mike Williams will receive the inaugural "Survivor Award." Mr. Williams is a cancer survivor and last season his team organized a Coaches vs. Cancer fund-raising game in his honor.

Tickets for the event, which include breakfast, are $75 for an individual and $700 for a table of 10, with proceeds benefitting the Coaches vs. Cancer program.
