BU Women’s Lacross Annual Breast Cancer Game

BU Women’s Lacrosse annual breast cancer awareness game at Nickerson Field with raffles including BU gear, gift certificates, and more. Proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the cure. There will be a pregame tailgate when gates open at 6 p.m. with free food and drinks and the first 300 fans will receive a free BU Lacrosse stadium cup.



Special Olympics and Autism Speaks Sports Clinic

As part of Boston University’s participation in Global Day of Service, BU’s Athletic Department will host a Special Olympics and Autism Speaks Sports Clinic on Sunday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at BU’s Case Gym. The sports clinic will allow young athletes to spend the afternoon participating in sports activities and be mentored by collegiate student-athletes.

This event is FREE and OPEN TO KIDS OF ALL ABILITY LEVELS ages 8+. Pre-registration is required.

Boston Public Schools

Boston University student-athletes read to Boston Public Schools to school children. In conjunction with BU's Government and Community Affairs Department, the athletes read to elementary school children and then presented each student with a book purchased by Boston University. Elementary students were also be presented with BU Athletics posters and vouchers for tickets to BU athletics events.

Greater Boston Walk Now for Autism
Suffolk Downs, East Boston

The men's and women's hockey teams will arrive at Suffolk Downs in the morning and help set up for registering, direct walkers and cheer participants on during the day of the event. The community service outreach project is organized by BU men's and women's hockey team.
