Alexandria Thornton

Alexandria Thornton joined the Boston University Department of Athletics in July 2011 as an administrative assistant for facilities.

Thornton's main responsibilities include scheduling and billing for several athletic facilities, scheduling all gyms, fields, vans and facilities for varsity team practices and games, and administrative support for softball and women's golf.

The Maumee, Ohio, native earned a bachelor's degree in international relations from Boston University in 2011 and is planning to pursue a master's degree in education.

Thornton was a coxswain for the BU women's rowing team and was named the team MVP in 2010. As a senior, she was a recipient of the athletic department's Student-Athlete Service Award.

Thornton currently resides in Allston.
