Jen Kentera was named an assistant director for student-athlete support services in the Boston University Department of Athletics in December 2011.

Kentera previous worked for the University of Oregon as academic advisor. In that role she academically advised student-athletes from various teams. Prior to her time at Oregon, Kentera was the academic advisor and tutorial coordinator at Florida State University. In addition to academically advising student-athletes, she coordinated the tutorial program for all student-athletes by supervising, training and scheduling over 80 tutors and one graduate assistant.

Kentera earned a M.S. in Sport Administration from Florida State University in 2009 and a B.A. in Psychology from Clemson University in 2006.

A native of Brookfield, CT, she currently resides in Brighton, Mass.
