Kevin Edelson joined the Boston University Department of Athletics in September 2011 as an assistant director for athletic communications. Edelson serves as the primary contact for the Terriers' women's ice hockey, men's lacrosse, golf, cross country and track & field programs.

Edelson is no stranger to BU, having graduated from the College of Communication in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. While a student, he served as sports director at WTBU and was the play-by-play broadcaster for the men's ice hockey team during its national championship season. Edelson's call of the Terriers' dramatic third period comeback against Miami won him a 2010 New England Associated Press award for best college sports play-by-play.

Prior to arriving at BU, Edelson served as a Jack Grinold Sports Information Intern at Northeastern University from August 2010 to September 2011. While there, he was the primary contact for women's ice hockey and field hockey, as well as the secondary contact for men's ice hockey.

Before he began his career in sports information, Edelson served as an associate editor at Inside Hockey, where he covered Hockey East during the 2009-10 season. He continued to work with Inside Hockey through the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs, covering the Boston Bruins during their championship run. He has also completed internships at The Boston Globe and The New England Hockey Journal.

A native of Braintree, Mass., Edelson currently resides in Brookline.
