Leadership Gifts Officer

Kate Caulfield was named the leadership gifts officer for athletic development at Boston University in August 2008. In this role, Caulfield is responsible for meeting with alumni and friends to engage them in the leadership support for BU's varsity athletics and club sport programs.

Caulfield spent the last three years at Boston Magazine. She began as an account executive and within a year was promoted to director of business development, responsible for prospecting new business, managing the sponsorship sales process and overseeing five account executives.

Prior to Boston Magazine, Caulfield worked in New York City for New York magazine as an account manager, and was responsible for generating sales for a $2.5 million account list. She also spent three years as a pharmaceutical healthcare representative at Pfizer, Inc., where she won numerous top sales awards and earned the Vice President's Cabinet Award in 2004.

Caulfield graduated from BU's College of Communication in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in communication. She played varsity field hockey for four years and was the team's captain her senior year.

A native of Cheshire, Conn., Caulfield -- whose maiden name is Conover -- lives in Boston's South End with her husband, Kevin.
