Dec. 17, 2007 BOSTON - Sophomore guard Corey Lowe (Newton, Mass./Newton North) of the men's basketball team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week after scoring a career-high 35 points against Yale on Tuesday, Dec. 11. He shot 13-for-20 (.650) from the floor against Yale, including a career-high seven 3-pointers versus the Bulldogs. The guard tallied three rebounds and two assists as he shot 53.8 percent from the 3-point line (7-for-13). Lowe has now scored 20 or more points in three-straight games; he joins Carlos Strong as the second Terrier to string together three straight 20-plus point games this year. They are the only conference players to have done so in 2007-08. Lowe has received two straight America East Player of the Week honors for his efforts. Against Harvard on Dec. 4, Lowe posted 23 points and a career-best 10 rebounds and shot 8-for-18 from the floor (.444), including 6-of-10 from the 3-point line (.600). He is the team's leading scorer, averaging 20.0 points per game and ranked 23rd in the country in made threes per game (3.5). |
