BOSTON - Sophomore Jonnie Bloemers has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week after scoring three goals in two games, including the game-winning goal against ninth-ranked Boston College in overtime and two against Sacred Heart in the Terriers' 11-1 victory. Bloemers also earned the Hockey East TPS Hockey Player of the Week Award.

With 2:17 left in overtime, Bloemers scored the winning goal against the Eagles on Thursday to give the Terriers a 3-2 victory over BC, their second win against the rival in team history.

Bloemers scored twice more in BU's 11-1 rout of Sacred Heart on Saturday, increasing her season total to four goals. The sophomore scored in the first period and then again with 1:49 remaining in the game.

At the midway point of the season, Bloemers has notched four assists on top of her four goals to earn eight points. The Terriers' next game will be at Northeastern on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 2:00 p.m.
