College Colors Day

Aug. 26, 2008

BOSTON - Boston University will promote Terrier Pride by encouraging all BU alumni, staff, faculty, students and fans to sport scarlet and white on College Colors Day, Friday, August 29.

College Colors Day is a national initiative established by the Collegiate Licensing Company to promote fan loyalty and school spirit. The Charles River Campus is buzzing as students come back to school and Boston University wants everyone to be a part of the excitement. The entire BU community will be encouraged to unite and relive the college experience by sporting a BU hat, earrings, t-shirt, sweatshirt, tie, watch, or anything else scarlet and white.

Fans are also encouraged to submit a fan photo with the name of everyone in the picture to terrierpride@bu.edu. Each photo will be displayed on GoTerriers.com and entered into a drawing to win a prize, such as:
• 2 tickets to the Reunion and Alumni Weekend men's ice hockey game against Michigan on Saturday, October 25, 2008
• "BU and Miracle on Ice" Commemorative Lithograph autographed by all four BU members of the 1980 gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic hockey team Jim Craig (SED'80), Mike Eruzione (SED'77), Jack O'Callahan (CAS'79), and Dave Silk (CAS'80)
• BU Gift Bags stuffed with authentic Terrier gear

Fans are also welcome to kickoff the 2008-09 season at the Terrier Tailgate barbeque prior to the men's soccer game against Massachusetts at Nickerson Field on Sunday, August 31 at 4:30 p.m. (The game starts at 6 p.m.) Join more than 5,000 fans at the team's home opener!
