Coming in at No. 11 in this year's Terrier Twelve is the men's and women's track and field teams' record-breaking performances at the Patriot League Championships.
Competing at the PL Championships at Army West Point on May 1 & 2, the Terriers were led once again by senior sprinter Gemma Acheampong. Acheampong won the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.49, setting a Patriot League Championship record and new school record in the process. Acheampong also won the 200 meter dash in 23.92 seconds and was named Outdoor Female Track Athlete of the Meet by the Patriot League. In addition to her outdoor title, the Waterbury, Connecticut, native was named Indoor Track Athlete of the Meet after she won both the 60m and 200m dash events at the PL Indoor Championships in Feb.
