Coming in at No. 9 on the The Terrier Twelve is junior Tess Waresmith's run to the NCAA Diving Championships in Columbus, Ohio. Waresmith, in her first season at Boston University after transferring from Miami, qualified for the NCAAs on both boards after placing third on the 3-meter at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships. She was the first BU diver to accomplish this feat since 1982, when Chris O'Hagan and Cathy Butler qualified.

At the NCAAs on March 21, Waresmith completed her impressive season with a 24th-place finish on the 3-meter (270.65) and just one day earlier the Dover, Mass., native placed 34th on the 1-meter (232.90)

Waresmith capped off an impressive first season as a Terrier where she went undefeated on both boards in dual meets and earned five weekly America East honors as the Diver of the Week. In addition, she broke program and pool records on the 1- and 3-meter and went home with the conference championship on both boards. Waresmith never trailed during the America East Swimming and Diving Championship.
