The top 10 of The Terrier Twelve kicks off with sophomore Melissa Anderson's hat trick in the women's ice hockey team's 4-1 road victory over rival Boston College on Feb. 23 to take over the fourth and final playoff spot in the Hockey East standings. Anderson scored BU's first three goals before assisting on the fourth.

The previous night, the Eagles posted a 4-0 shutout at Walter Brown to move one point ahead of the Terriers in the league standings. Anderson, however, made sure BU avenged the loss, scoring the first goal of the game before breaking a 1-1 tie late in the second period. She completed her first career hat trick with an unassisted tally at the 13:18 mark of the third, marking just the second three-goal performance in program history.

After moving back into fourth place, the Terriers clinched a spot in the league tournament for the first time in their three-year history with a win over Northeastern in their next game on March 1.
