Submit a Nomination

Boston University students, supporters and alumni have the unique opportunity to nominate their all-time favorite athletes for induction into the BU Athletic Hall of Fame. A committee will determine the final slate of nominees to be considered for induction into the 2010 class.

Nominations can be submitted online by clicking here, or be mailed to the Boston University Department of Athletics, 285 Babcock St., Boston, MA. 02215. Please submit the name, sport(s) played, year of graduation, and supporting documentation for your nominee. The nomination deadline is June 8, 2009.

The nominee must have conducted him or herself in such a way as to reflect honor on the University and to have those qualities of character and standard of conduct most desirable in one who may be cited as an example for all people.

The nominee must also have been a varsity letter recipient at BU and his/her original class must have graduated at least five years ago. Each nominee must have also demonstrated exceptional athletic ability and made significant contributions to BU while representing the University in intercollegiate competition.

The chosen athletes will have their name inscribed on a plaque beside Boston University sports legends like Mickey Cochrane, Mike Eruzione and Mary Pratt. The 49th induction banquet is set to take place in May 2010.

Last year, Larry Davenport (men's ice hockey), Deidre Enos (women's soccer), Andre Maksimow (football) and Shawn McEachern (men's ice hockey) were inducted into the Hall of Fame in honor of their efforts during their tenure at Boston University.
