Arik Seiler
Jan. 14, 2008 BOSTON - Sophomore Arik Seiler continued with his strong season on Saturday with three individual wins against Dartmouth in the Terriers' victory over the Big Green. For his efforts, he has earned GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week honors. Seiler began his day with a win in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of one minute, 43.39 seconds. He then cruised to victory in the 100 free, clocking in at 47.59 seconds - over one second faster than his nearest competitor. In his final individual race of the day, the Portland, Maine, native touched the wall in 53.03 in the 100 fly to earn another first-place finish for the Terriers. Seiler completed the meet by anchoring the winning 200-free relay team, which clocked in at 1:27.19. His split of 21.13 was the fastest in the race. The Terriers will take on Holy Cross on Tuesday, Jan. 15 in Worcester, Mass., at 7:00 p.m. |
