Case Gymnasium, otherwise known as "The Roof", has served as the home of Boston University basketball and wrestling since 1972. It has an 1,800-seat capacity with theatre-sized chairback seats on both sides.

Appropriately, The Roof sits above Walter Brown Arena. Throughout its history, it has provided an intimidating home-court advantage.

The women's basketball program began play during the 1975-76 season, its first as a varsity program. Recording a 218-143 (.604) all-time record there, the women have enjoyed a winning home record in each of the past nine seasons. In 2007-08, for the first time in program history, the Terriers went undefeated, winning all 11 contests. They have hosted WNIT games in back-to-back seasons. For 2010-11, the Terriers will play 12 of its 13 home contests in the friendly confines of Case Gym.

Having captured the 1997 and 2002 America East championships in 1997 and 2002 in Case Gym, the men have played a total of 299 games and have won 211 of them for a .706 winning percentage. Over the past ten years, the Terriers are an impressive 78-25 (.757) at The Roof. Last season, they hosted their first-ever postseason game and defeated Morehead State to advance to the CBI semifinals. They will play seven games during the 2010-11 season.

Since its inception in 1972, the wrestling team has had 70 men qualify for the NCAAs a total of 120 times. Entering his 30th season at the helm, head coach Carl Adams has helped four wrestlers earn All-America status under his watch and has guided BU to 10 conference championships. The Terriers will host 10 matches during the 2010-11 season.
