Danielle Abraham from the Boston University women's tennis team has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for the 2009 spring sports season as announced by the National Collegiate Athletic Association earlier this week. A first-team all-America East doubles player, she will pursue medical school in the fall after recently graduating with a degree in biology. more |

Former Terriers John Curry and Chris Bourque celebrated professional hockey titles on Friday night, as Curry was the third goaltender for the Pittsburgh Penguins during their run to the Stanley Cup and Bourque was one of the Hershey Bears' top scorers in their AHL Calder Cup championship. more |

A member of the 1974 and 1975 Boston University women's rowing national champion teams, Jeanne Friedman ('75) was inducted into the Philadelphia Jewish Sports Hall of Fame last month. A native Philadelphian, Friedman started attending BU in 1972 and was instrumental in coordinating the formation of the team the following year. more |

Senior midfielder Sarah Dalton of the Boston University lacrosse team has been named the Vermont Female Athlete of the Year, as announced by the Vermont Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association during the organization's annual banquet held Sunday on the campus of Norwich University. Dalton, a native of Cornwall, Vt., and graduate of Middlebury Union High School, led the nation with 91 goals this season, fifth-most in NCAA history. more |
